Camp
Costanoan
is a residential, respite and recreational camp for children and adults,
ages 5 and older, with physical and/or developmental disabilities. The
Camp, founded in 1955, is a service of Via Rehabilitation Services, Inc.
Camp Costanoan is nestled in the foothills of the
Santa Cruz
Mountains
in Steven's
Creek
County
Park
.
On Camp Costanoan's 13 acres are six modern sleeping lodges equipped with
bathrooms and heaters, a spacious Main Lodge where dining and large group
programs take place, Arts & Crafts and Music & Drama buildings,
Two pools, one of which is wheelchair accessible, Nature area, Horse Corral, Sports Court and campsites, all of which are intended
to give campers the most enjoyable and safe camping experience possible.
Camp
Costanoan
enhances camper self-esteem, improves socialization skills and provide
hands-on learning and therapeutic recreation opportunities. Additionally,
Camp provides respite for families of individuals with disabilities.
